Our Story: From Dream to Kamla Cashew

Kamla Cashew’s journey began in 2020 — not with a big factory, but with a small dream.
Our founder, Bharat Modani, a Computer Science graduate from SRM Chennai, returned to Hyderabad during the Covid lockdowns. While job opportunities were shrinking, he chose a different path — starting a small online business selling A4 paper.

This early e-commerce experience sparked a bigger ambition: to create something meaningful and scalable.

Coming from a family with a strong trading background, and fueled by a passion for quality food products, Bharat soon identified a gap in the cashew market. Many B2B buyers across India were struggling to find a reliable, long-term supplier. And that’s how Kamla Cashew was born.
